C is for Cookie
Thirty-somethings like me will probably never get over their Sesame Street nostalgia fixations, so allow me to indulge a bit, if you will, with this NPR On-Air interview with everyone’s favorite furry-blue cookie devouring monster.

Re: C is for Cookie
What is it about the C-Monster? Something truly cookie-scrumptious! Here is another hilarious clip featuring our fuzzy friend - Cookie Monster vs Martha Stewart... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT_gxpyavag&feature=related.
The title says it all... enjoy!

btw it's possible to imbed youtube videos in posts to tbjkids.com ... just copy and paste the text you see in the "Embed" window to the right of the video!
for example, what you've just posted:
Re: C is for Cookie
I heard a rumor that on the show the Cookie Monster doesn't go crazy for cookies anymore because cookies are a "sometimes" snack. I find that kind of depressing. That's like saying Robin Hood doesn't rob from the rich and give to the poor anymore, he just makes smart financial investments deferring some of the profit into good causes.
Leave the Cookie Monster alone!
Re: C is for Cookie
Has PC hit the Cookie Monster? That IS depressing. For goodness sake... even the youngest kids are smart enough to know we can't binge on cookies all day long without waves of nausea (let alone encouraging the onset of a range of health issues).
I honestly honestly think the savvy smarts of our kids is underestimated.
What next?
Banning Kermit the Frog because his thighs are too skinny?
Giving Barney the flick because his belly is too... err... rotund?
Canning Oscar the Grouch because he is too negative (and/or crawling with microscopic nasties from the bottom of his trashcan/house)?
These crazy characters highlight and celebrate the diversity and craziness of life and all its idiosyncracies. And if kids don't understand (and skateboard on) crazy, who does?
