Are there certain brands of paint that are better than others when it comes to the baby room?

Re: Safest paints for the baby room
you really need to join BOCA! You have a lot of the same concerns as the BOCA group members do. There are 400 members to pick their brains, too! But I'll post here what I can find easily...
As for lead-free, it's safest to still stick to white or light color paints. For dark colors, it's unclear what the pigments are used to color the paint.
Dufa (German brand) and Master Mark (US brand) have been recommended before, but I don't know where to find them. I don't know if they are low-VOC or not.
Highly recommended by BOCA members are these 3:
Dulux, Nippon or Auro low to no VOC paints
"I bought my paint at B&Q, i both tried dulux and nippon. on my walls nippon
worked much better, with dulux i needed 3 coatings, nippon paint looked perfect after 2
coatings."
" Try contacting Jonathan Zhang of Biohouse (distributers of Biohouse,
Osmo and Auro in China) regarding stores selling those paints in
Beijing. His email is zhang{at}biohouse.cn -- his English is very good."
"We bought Nippon low voc paint at B&Q last August. It's not cheap but it had
absolutely no smell at all and it looks great."
