Shunyi Activities and housing for 18 mth old

Hi
We are looking at moving to Beijing in the next few months and are looking for a decent place in Shunyi.
I have a 18 month old so activities are a must. A backyard would be great.
My hubbys housing allowance is 3000usd a month although we can pay a bit extra if the place is right.
Can anyone recommend a place that is good and also places to avoid.
I've read on here that Dragon Villas are a no no.
I quite like River Garden.
Does anyone know also what the Merlin Champagne villas are like?
Also what can one do in Shunyi.
Thankyou in advance. I know there are a lot of questions but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Aussiemum, I'm living at Capital Paradise and it really is a great compund with lots of trees and a pretty nice community. It's right in the center of everything in ShunYi too. There's a new kindergarten open in Yosemite- The Children's House, that runs playgroups for kids really cheaply and accepts kids from 3 months - internationally run with really friendly staff. I went along last week and I'm thinking of letting my 9 month old start 3 mornings a week from November. Let me know where you decide....
