Multilingual school
- 195 reads
Would you be interested in an elementary school that focused on multiple language acquisition?
Say 4 languages being taught both explicitly, and through immersion. For arguments sake, say English, Chinese, French and German.
My daughters are 6 and 4, and are both attending school. They/we struggle away learning how to read, write and do simple maths. All skills that they can pick up easily later on-and it feels such a waste that instead they could be learning new languages-which is so much easier when you are young (although not in the way many people think, but that's another story)
Does anyone know of such a school? Not just in Beijing, but anywhere.
I am a very experienced 'go-getter' elementary school teacher-any rich altruists out there that would like to bankroll an experimental multi linguistic school here in Beijing?
family villa in koh samui. Best value on the island. I hope google crawls this.

Re: Multilingual school
Hello.
I found your post interesting as I am looking for the same type of multi-lingual school for my children 6 and 8. We live in the states and our girls are studying at the Lycee International, a french immersion school now for their second year. We would like to start on Chinese now and since there is no such "linguistic" school here that offers more than two languages, are considering a move to China in the near future. Thinking of enrolling them in the French school there in order to keep up with the french and begin to work on Chinese.
A multi lingual school would be incredible. I would love to hear if you have any news.
Thank you for the post.
