Hands, Foot and Mouth

I am currently outside Beijing and due to come back next week with my 17 month old. I have heard reports of deaths leading from hands, foot and mouth across China. Is there a serious risk?

Thanks Jenson. The playgrpoup and Music classes my son attends at an interntaional school have been cancelled but I am told this is just a preventative measure so I plan to continue with my plans to come back to China on Friday (armed with Milton disinfectant wipes a plenty!!!)
